Applications are welcome from senior social scientists with an international reputation for a newly created Chair of Sociology in the Department of Social Sciences at the University of Hull. The Department is multidisciplinary, researching and teaching in anthropology, criminology, gender studies, social policy and social justice, social work, and sociology. Sociology has been designated an area of growth. The Department wishes to appoint a well established social scientist who will play a key role in developing the discipline of Sociology. The Department has the ambition of being ranked amongst the best multidisciplinary social science departments in the UK.

Salary Professorial Minimum £48,161 pa.
