The Elias Foundation writes in conjunction with the Deutsche Literaturarchiv Marbach (DLA) twice a year scholarships for the development and research of the estate of Norbert Elias.
Scholarships are divided into three categories according to academic qualifications: postdoctoral scholarships, graduate scholarships and short-term scholarships for Master and Staatsexamen candidates.
The scholarship rates amount to:
- Postdoctoral scholarships: 1,500, – Euro
- Graduate scholarships: 1.000, – Euro
- MA scholarships: a one-month stay at the Collegienhaus.
The postdoctoral fellowship primarily serves the promotion of junior scientists (archive stays). However, highly qualified applicants (postdoctoral researchers, scientists with tenure, freelance scientific authors and editors) are also explicitly admitted to apply.
Scholarship holders working at foreign universities can apply for a travel allowance. The maximum funding period is four months.
